My name is JoAnna/Jo and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2019 with my Bachelors degree in Social Work, and then from East Carolina University in 2021 with my Masters of Social Work. I have about 3 years working in the mental health field, where I have primarily provided both office-based and school-based therapy to children and adolescents. I mainly specialize in providing therapeutic interventions for Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and enjoy applying strengths-based and solution-focused approaches to my practice. In my free time, I enjoy reading, which ranges from topics in the mental health field to captivating fantasy realms, exercising, adventuring in and outside North Carolina with my boyfriend, and spending time with my fur baby, Macado (Mac for short).
